Should you or a loved one require specialized medical transportation, whether it's around the corner or across the state, trust MTS Ambulance to provide the quality care you need and deserve.
What is a Certificate of Medical Necessity (CMN)
In early 1999, the Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA) began requiring that a CMN be completed for any patient covered by Medicare for non-emergency ambulance transports. This does not apply to patients who are not covered by Medicare. All ambulance services are required to submit these forms.
. The form, signed by a physician, nurse practitioner, or clinical nurse specialist, attests that ambulance transport was necessary due to certain medical criteria or conditions
